CVE-2026-90151 |
| Name: |
NFSv4 callback client identifier use-after-free |
| Summary: |
English: Kernel memory corruption |
| Česky: Poškození paměti jádra |
| Description: |
English: A VPS administrator can mount an NFSv4.0 server they control. Failed client initialization can leave a callback identifier pointing to a freed client. A later server callback can then update its freed reference counter. The trigger requires administrator rights inside the VPS. Corruption in the shared kernel could allow control of the node and access to other VPSes, but the reviewed primary record and fix do not establish a complete exploit on vpsFree.cz. A failed attempt can crash the shared kernel. Kernel warnings that may indicate this bug was triggered are monitored. |
| Response: |
English: Linux 6.12 includes the fix starting with 6.12.110. It removes the callback identifier before freeing a client whose initialization failed, preventing later callbacks from finding the released client. |
